South Sinai Governor, Khaled Fouda, chaired the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Youth and Sports City, after its formation.

He said a major promotion plan for the city would be launched in the coming period in order to throw light on the sports facilities available in it.

The city, the governor said, can host major sports and tourism events.

He noted that the Youth and Sports City, which is located in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh, contains various stadium and swimming pools as well as other sports facilities that quality it to be a major center for organizing important sports and youth events.

The city also contains a number of hotels full of comfort for the future guests of the city, the governor said.
