Egypt’s Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Karim Badawy had a meeting with a delegation of the UAE’s Mubadala Energy Company, under CEO Sheikh Mansoor Mohamed Al Hamed.
They discussed means to expand activities and increase UAE’s investments in Egypt.
The minister on Saturday lauded special ties between Egypt and the UAE, particularly fruitful bilateral cooperation in the domains of energy, petroleum and natural gas.
The meeting touched upon the recent global bid for exploring natural gas in the Mediterranean and Delta, as the UAE’s company voiced its keenness to take part in such activities.
For his part, the CEO of Mubadala highlighted promising opportunities to increase investments and activities of the company in Egypt.
Established in 2012 Mubadala Energy adopts a future strategy with focus on expanding across the gas value chain and into new energy sectors to play a pivotal part in the energy transition.
Mubadala Energy is now a leading international energy company. It manages assets and operations spanning 11 countries, with a primary geographic focus on the Middle East and North Africa, Russia and Southeast Asia.
