Egyptian Finance Minister Mohamed Maait said the Public Treasury and Mint Authority has provided more than EGP 50 million of coins to meet the needs of citizens and markets nationwide on the occasions of Easter and Eidul Fitr.
In a statement issued by the Finance Ministry Thursday, the minister said the digitization of the Public Treasury and Mint Authority to keep pace with the global state-of-the-art systems contributed to supplying further reserves of coins to avoid any change shortage ahead of such occasions.
Head of the Public Treasury and Mint Authority Hossam Khedr said reserves of supplied coins are sufficient for two years.
