On Oct. 6 occasion, President pardons 2735 prisoners

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has issued a decree pardoning the remainder of sentences handed down to 2735 of inmates on the occasion of the Armed Forces Day, celebrated annually on October 6.
The republican decree stipulates that it be published in the Official State Gazette and come into force on the following day.
In parallel, the Public Prosecution released 38 defendants in pretrial detention in cases under investigation by the Supreme State Security Prosecution.
