Head of the Egyptian National Press Authority (NPA) Abdel Sadek El Shorbagy said national press institutions are a main and active backer of the State in different sectors and have a key role in protecting the homeland security.
Shorbagy’s remarks came during a speech he delivered at the fintech conference organized by Al-Ahram on Sunday.
He added that the NPA spares no efforts to support the system of work at all national press institutions, in a way that achieves the interests of their workers.
The NPA head went on to say that different state sectors are witnessing an unprecedented boom that helps Egypt to assume a pioneering position in the region.
Shorbagy also pointed to the essential part played by the press in educating citizens about internal and external threats facing the country.
