Head of the National Press Authority (NPA) Abdel Sadek El Shorbagy has announced that the monthly salary of state-run press institutions employees will be increased by EGP1,000 as of March.
He pointed out that the minimum monthly pay for state-run press institutions employees will be EGP 6,000 as of March.
This decision reflects the political leadership’s appreciation for the state-run press institutions and the great support for this sector to enforce social protection package under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, El Shorbagy said.
The NPA head also lauded the rapid response of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Finance Minister Mohammed Mait to provide the required funding for this salary rise.
