ARISH – North Sinai governor Mohamed Abdel Fadil said Saturday that the governorate has been witnessing a development in various fields, especially the agriculture domain, amid plans to convert the peninsula into a food basket for Egypt.
Egypt’s political administration has put into consideration achieving a comprehensive development in Sinai.
The Armed Forces Engineering Authority is working on conducting the largest network of canals and covered drains in Egypt in Sinai to help in planting around 450 thousand feddans in Sinai, Abdel Fadil said.
