The ninth meeting of the Members of the EU Political and Security Committee and the Permanent Representatives to the League of Arab States convened under the co-chairmanship of Lebanon – the current AL chair – and Head of the EU committee Delphine Pronk.
The meeting held three working sessions that focused on a number of issues of mutual concern in the fields of political and security fields.
The three sessions tackled the Palestinian cause, the developments in Lebanon, Iraq and Libya and the issue of Iran.
The final session will endorse a joint Arab-European press release that represent their common vision on political issues raised during the meeting.
