Egypt’s Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah Eddin has affirmed the ministry’s commitment to co-operating and integrating with leading international companies to localise the latest manufacturing technologies within the ministry’s production facilities.

His remarks came during the signing of a joint cooperation agreement with a foreign company in the field of military manufacturing, held at the ministry’s pavilion at EDEX 2025.

Salah Eddin said that the ministry aims to achieve self-sufficiency in the output of its production companies while establishing partnerships with local and international entities to export some of these products abroad, leveraging Egypt’s strategic geographic position linking Africa, Asia, and Europe.
This, he added, contributes to strengthening the national economy and generating foreign currency.
The minister explained that the agreement forms part of the ministry’s efforts to exchange expertise and technical knowledge in military manufacturing with various global companies.

He expressed his aspiration to deepen cooperation with international defence firms in the coming period to create added value for the Egyptian economy.

Representatives of the foreign company praised the advanced manufacturing, technological, and human capabilities within Egypt’s military production companies, noting that these capabilities encourage major global firms to pursue strategic partnerships.

They also commended Egypt’s notable progress in its military industries, affirming that EDEX 2025 reflects the country’s stature and its ability to host major international exhibitions with professionalism and efficiency.
