Head of the National Council for Women (NCW) Maya Morsi expressed thanks to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for guaranteeing women’s rights, empowering them and giving them full opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities in all fields.
Addressing an event organised by the Local Development Ministry marking the Egyptian Woman’s Day, which falls on March 16 every year, Morsi said the Egyptian woman was taking firm steps towards achieving aspirations she has always fought for, and commended the wise political leadership that is supporting women and believing in their role.
The unprecedented achievements attained over the past six years in favour of the Egyptian woman would always remain a source of pride, she said, adding that during this period the Egyptian woman succeeded in obtaining many of her rights and assuming decision-making positions.
