CAIRO – President of the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) Moshira Khattab said on Saturday President Abdel Fattah El Sisi pays great attention to the African dimension in the Egyptian identity and is keen on partaking in African events.
Addressing a panel discussion, organized by the Sports and Youth Ministry on human rights, as part of the fourth edition of the Nile Valley Unity project, Khattab stated that Egypt’s relations with Africa topped the national priorities.
Khattab hailed the project, noting it represents integration and association among the peoples of the Nile Valley countries.
One of the sources of power for the peoples of the Nile Valley is pluralism and its cultural and human richness, Khattab pointed out, underlining the political leadership’s keenness to strengthen ties with all African countries.
Africa represents the strategic depth for Egypt, she said, reviewing African leaders’ efforts to enhance human rights in the continent.
