CAIRO – Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tareq el Molla has emphasized the importance of the project to deliver natural gas to homes; given the difference between the service it offers to citizens and that of using butane gas cylinders.
Molla noted that the project also contributes to cutting down butane imports and easing pressure on the state budget.
The minister made the remarks during an expanded meeting with officials from the companies tasked with delivering natural gas to homes.
He pointed out that natural gas has been delivered to a total of 841 villages as part of the Decent Life Initiative.
The meeting was meant to follow up on the status of implementing projects to deliver natural gas to homes during the 2023/2024 fiscal year.
