The National Elections Authority (NEA), under the leadership of Counselor Hazem Badawi, is scheduled to host a press conference next Tuesday at 2:00 PM. The conference will be held at the Egyptian Television Theatre headquarters in Maspero and will detail all dates, procedures, and electoral process specifics for the upcoming Senate elections.

In a statement released on Saturday, the NEA announced that its Board of Directors will convene on Tuesday morning to review the final report prepared by Counselor Ahmed Bandari, Director of the Authority’s Executive Authority.
This report will encompass all preparatory aspects and logistical considerations pertaining to the electoral process.

The NEA affirmed its comprehensive readiness to conduct the Senate elections, emphasizing the completion of all logistical arrangements essential for a seamless electoral process. This includes full judicial oversight by esteemed advisors from the State Lawsuits Authority and the Administrative Prosecution Authority.
The Authority highlighted the implementation of specialized training courses for staff supporting supervising judges.
These programs included instruction on utilizing electronic applications developed by the NEA, in addition to procedures for receiving and reviewing nomination papers. Furthermore, barcode devices, scanners, and printers have been deployed at primary court headquarters nationwide.

All requisite legal forms, such as nomination applications, ballot cards, voter lists, and counting records, have been prepared in strict accordance with legal provisions.
The NEA also confirmed the successful update of its database for civil society organizations, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, and press and media institutions accredited for election monitoring.
This update involved registering new organizations and renewing the accreditation of those that participated in previous elections.
In coordination with the Ministries of Education, Health, Youth and Sports, and the Educational Buildings Authority, the NEA has completed inspections of all general and sub-election committee headquarters, ensuring their readiness and compliance with legal requirements for electoral sites.
Hospitals and laboratories accredited by the Ministry of Health have also been identified and authorized to conduct medical examinations and tests mandated by law for candidacy documents.

The executive branch of the NEA has conducted extensive training programs for 10,600 judges overseeing the electoral process.
These programs, delivered via video conference, provided training on modern electronic applications and updated operational mechanisms designed to streamline the electoral process and enhance voter convenience.

The Authority underscored its profound commitment to facilitating the participation of people with determination, particularly those with motor, hearing, and visual disabilities. This includes providing accessible facilities, guidance, and appropriate ballot cards within polling stations to enable them to exercise their constitutional right with ease.
Ongoing coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also in place for all logistical arrangements related to voting for Egyptians residing abroad.
Concluding its statement, the NEA confirmed the successful update of the voter database. This was achieved through collaboration with the Ministries of Defense and Interior, the Civil Status Authority, the Public Prosecution, and relevant judicial authorities, and included the removal of deceased individuals based on official data received from the Ministry of Health.
