CAIRO- Assistant rapporteur of the committee for exercising political rights and electoral representation in the national dialogue Dr. Mohamed Shawky Abdel-Aal underlined the importance of electoral system issue for the parliament, a topic that will be raised during the committee’s first discussion panel on Sunday.
In statements to MENA on Saturday, he said the issue is one of the most important issues on the agenda of the committee meetings.
This sends a message to all parties that all issues are discussed without any red lines, he said.
He said those responsible for the national dialogue have always accentuated that they will listen to all views within the framework of certain regulations and time frame for speeches delivered by each participant.
He stressed that each participant will have a chance to speak during discussion panels.
The start of the discussion panels of ad-hoc committees of the national dialogue on Sunday reflects the seriousness of the dialogue.
The sessions will address political, economic and social protection issues as well as incentivizing tourism investment, family guardianship and national identity issues.
