Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production, Lieutenant General Ashraf Zaher, met on Monday with a number of fighters from the Western Military Zone, as well as personnel from affiliated formations and units via video conference.
Armed Forces Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, attended the meeting together with commanders of the main branches, and senior Armed Forces officials.
The meeting is part of the Armed Forces’ regular engagements aimed at maintaining direct communication with troops and unifying understanding on issues related to national security and military affairs.
Commander of the Western Military Zone, Major General Hatem Moustafa Zahran, appreciated the continuous support provided by the Armed Forces, and affirmed the commitment of the zone’s personnel to making every sacrifice necessary to safeguard the nation.
For his part, Minister Zaher conveyed the appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the personnel of the Western Military Zone.
He also highlighted the deep coordination between the forces in the Western Military Zone and local tribal leaders in Matrouh in securing Egypt’s western strategic direction.
Zaher underscored the Armed Forces’ commitment to preparing highly qualified personnel capable of keeping pace with technological advancements across all military specialisations, adopting modern training methods, and remaining resilient against psychological warfare.
The Armed Forces personnel remain an integral part of the Egyptian people, united in their mission to safeguard the country’s security and stability, he said.
