Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah Eddin Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah Eddin Moustafa chaired a meeting on Monday of the board of the Specialised Medical Centre in Helwan, affiliated to the Ministry of Military Production.
During the meeting, Minister Moustafa was briefed by Director of the Centre Alaa Mohamed El-Deeb, on updates of the ongoing development projects, including plans for staff training aimed at enhancing the quality of medical services provided at the facility.
Moustafa reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to equipping the medical center with state-of-the-art technology and maintaining a team of highly qualified consultants and specialists — including top doctors from the Armed Forces and Egyptian universities — in addition to skilled medical and nursing staff.
The goal, he said, is to provide top-tier healthcare services not only to ministry employees and affiliates but also to the general public at affordable prices, particularly residents of the Helwan area.
This, he noted, contributes to improving both public health and quality of life, while upholding the highest standards of service quality.
Following the meeting, the minister conducted an inspection tour of the center to oversee the ongoing development efforts and check on the quality of medical services being offered.
He visited several ongoing projects, including the installation of a hyperbaric oxygen therapy unit, which is used to treat a wide range of conditions such as chronic wounds, soft tissue infections, bone infections, and diabetic ulcers.
Notably, this high-pressure oxygen therapy device is the only one of its kind available in southern Cairo and Upper Egypt, making it a vital addition to the region’s healthcare infrastructure.
Minister Mopustafa praised the Specialised Medical Center for its longstanding role in the healthcare sector and called on all involved to preserve its distinguished reputation and maintain its current standards.
He affirming the Ministry’s ongoing dedication to supporting the center’s mission in providing quality healthcare services and fulfilling its noble role to the fullest.
