Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi participated Sunday in the opening of the International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi.

The opening of the event, which will last until 25 February, demonstrated the huge efforts UAE authorities made to ensure its success.

Minister Morsi made a tour of the different sections of the exhibition, and reviewed the equipment showcased by participating companies and countries.

This is the third time the Egyptian Ministry of State for Military Production takes part in the exhibition.

The ministry participated in the previous two editions of the biannual event in 2017 and 2019.

The minister met the representatives of Rolls Royce and TRB companies.

Morsi also met a representative of Thales Group which operates in the manufacture of communication equipment.

The Egyptian pavilion in IDEX displays models of a wide range of weapons, ammunitions and equipment manufactured by the various factories of the ministry.

Minister Morsi is also due to meet a host of international military officials over the coming few days, on the sidelines of the exhibition.

He will also meet a number of the heads of military production companies from different countries.

IDEX 2021 is yet a new opportunity for the Minister Morsi to hammer out new strategic partnerships and open up new channels of military cooperation with major international defense companies, the ministry said.
