International Cooperation Minister Rania el Mashat highlighted the depth of the Egyptian-EU relations, especially in light of cooperation in projects of joint interest.
She made the remarks during a discussion panel at the Egyptian-European Investment Conference.
She said that sectors of joint interest include new and renewable energy, logistics and ports in addition to food security projects.
She added that available financing mechanisms are clear and include innovative tools, noting that a sum of over dlrs 6 billion was allocated to the private sector over the past five years.
She added that Egypt and the EU are cooperating under Egypt’s Nexus for Water, Food and Energy program (NWFE) which focuses on water, food and energy projects in order to attain all climate-related goals.
