CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of International Co-operation Dr Rania el-Mashat on Thursday discussed with Minister of Environment Dr Yasmine Fouad developmental co-operation projects in environment.
The pair tackled ways of promoting coordination to play host to the Conference of the Parties (COP 27) to the UNFCCC, to he held in Sharm El-Sheikh next year, on behalf of Africa.
Mashat and Fouad took up initiatives and mechanisms of implementation along with a package of developmental projects, based on the national strategy for climate change.
Mashat said the state is exerting strenuous efforts to face climate change and turn towards green and sustainable economy.
For her part, Fouad underlined the importance of boosting co-operation of all bodies concerned in the government and civil society organisations to render this important global event a success.
