The Mansoura Criminal Court decided during a session under counselor Bahaa Eddin El Merry Sunday to adjourn the trial of the killer of a female student at Mansoura University till Tuesday.
The court heard the defendant’s statements in which he revealed details about his relationship with the victim and also issued a gag order on the case publication.
The court surroundings witnessed high security measures as policemen were deployed inside and outside the court.
Public prosecutor Hamada El Sawi Wednesday decided to refer the defendant, identified as Mohamed Adel, to the criminal court after he killed his colleague Nayyera Ashraf with a knife outside the university gate.
