CAIRO – Egyptian Prime minister Mostafa Madbouli said on Wednesday the Egyptian state gives special importance to the sports sector as part of efforts to improve the health and the skills of Egyptians.
Madbouli statements came as he opened the Sports Expo Egypt 2023 that is being held from Feb. 22 to Feb. 24 at Al Manara International Convention Centre (MICC).
The Prime Minister asserted that the state is keen on modernizing the sports infrastructure upon the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Minister of Sports and Youth Ashraf Sobhy, along with a number of ministers, sport experts, specialists, academia, as well as investors interested in investing in the public and private sectors in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa, have taken part in the inauguration ceremony of Egypt’s groundbreaking sport event.
The three-day gathering is being held under the sponsorship of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the sidelines of the “Break your Record” initiative.
The Prime Minister made a tour of the exhibition including the Suez Canal pavilion where he was welcomed by Osama Rabei, the head of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) who posted Madbouli on the SCA sports products.
