Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli stressed the importance of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s participation in the 18th G20 Summit held in New Delhi on September 9-10.

During the cabinet meeting Thursday, the prime minister said president Sisi’s word during the Summit held strong messages, as it underlined the importance of the G20 role in addressing global financial disruption, upgrading international financing institutions, along with working out sustainable solutions for hierarchical problems besetting developing countries, especially regarding growing debts, diminishing of developmental aid, hard conditions set for obtaining any assistance, the widening financial gap impeding realization of sustainable development and just transition to a low-carbon economy.

The prime minister’s inspection comes as the Grand Egyptian Museum is nearing completion. The museum is expected to open in 2023 and will be one of the largest and most important museums in the world.

A detailed explanation of the completed works in the museum, including the main building, service area, entrance and ticket building, Pyramids restaurant, multi-use building, suspended obelisk square, and surrounding gardens, as well as the existing and new car parking areas was presented.
