CAIRO- Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted the necessity of removing buildings encroaching on agricultural areas and state-owned lands.
Madbouli’s remarks came during a meeting, held Monday to follow up on efforts exerted to stop urban encroachment on agricultural lands and building violations, in the presence of Local Development Minister Mahmoud Shaarawi.
“Any new violations on the agricultural lands would be harshly addressed,” Madbouli vowed during the meeting.
The move aims at protecting the rights of the state and generations to come, in implementation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s orders, he added.
“We, as a government, would not allow to lose any new agricultural spot,” Madbouli averred.
