CAIRO – Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and his Jordanian counterpart Bisher al-Khasawneh co-chaired Monday the 30th Joint Higher Egyptian-Jordanian Committee meeting to discuss a number of co-operation files.
The meeting took up aspects of bilateral co-operation covering various spheres, including political, economic, trade exchange, transport, education, agriculture, energy, specifications and standards, as well as customs domains.
Preparatory meetings for the committee’s 30th session concluded Sunday and was chaired by Minister of International Cooperation Rania el-Mashat and Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yousef al-Shamali.
The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Jordan hit dlrs 812 mn within the first 11 months of 2021, with Egyptian exports amounting to 73%.
