The experimental operation of the third and final stage of Cairo Metro Line 3 began on Sunday in the presence of Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and Transport Minister Kamel el Wazir.
This stage serves residents of Imbaba, Boulaq al-Dakrour, Sudan area and Cairo University.
Madbouli gave the go-ahead to the trial operation of both Cairo Metro Line 3 and East Nile Monorail during his inauguration of the 5th Smart Transport, Infrastructure & Logistics Fair & Forum for the MEA Region (TransMEA), which is organized by the Transport Ministry..
The East Nile Monorail extends from the stadium station in Nasr City to the New Administrative Capital with a length of 56.5 km. It includes 22 stations.
