Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli held a cabinet meeting on Wednesday at government headquarters in the New Alamein City to follow up on action to carry out directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the implementation of decisions of the Supreme Council for Investment.
Madbouli has stressed the importance of the recent visits by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed al Nuhayan and Bahraini King Hamad bin Issa al-Khalifa to Egypt.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held talks with the three leaders on means of boosting bilateral cooperation in all fields, Madbouli said during the weekly Cabinet meeting yesterday.
The meetings with the two Arab leaders also took up the latest developments at the regional and international levels, as well as joint Arab action to face successive global challenges, the premier added.
Madbouli also talked about Sisi’s inauguration of the renovated mosque and shrine of Al Sayyeda Nafissa. He thanked all bodies that sponsored the restoration process of this ancient mosque as part of government efforts to develop sites of historical Cairo.
Following the meeting, the prime minister witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Health Ministry and Elevate Capital, an investment platform to upgrade hospitals and medical centres nationwide.
The MoU comes as part of efforts to activate the partnership between the public and private sectors. It was signed in the presence of Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.
It aims to improve and meet the needs of the health sector in Egypt in a sustainable way in line with the Egypt Vision 2030.
The two sides agreed to develop Dar El-Salam Cancer Hospital Harmel as a branch of Gustave John Rossi in Egypt. They also agreed to establish, manage and operate new specialised hospitals and medical centres, which would inject new investments in the health sector and enhance the presence of the private sector in the Egyptian market.
The prime minister also witnessed the signing of a co-operation protocol between the Training and Rehabilitation Fund affiliated to the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Public Business Sector.
The terms of the protocol stipulate the training personnel at the Ministry of Business Sector and its subsidiaries.
Minister of Public Business Sector Mahmoud Essmat and Minister of Labour Hassan Shehata signed the protocol, which comes in response to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives on caring for human resources, their development and investment in them for the sake of economic and social development.
The step is aimed at reforming and developing the management system of public business sector companies and maximizing their investments.
