CAIRO – Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said Monday digital transformation is a top priority on the government’s agenda, given its direct positive impact on developing government work, raising the efficiency of various state institutions, and consequently facilitating procedures for both citizens and investors.

The statement came during the prime minister’s meeting with former minister of Communication and Information Technology (CIT) and Chairman of Prime Business Consulting Atef Helmy.

The purpose of the meeting was to review efforts and steps to improve electronically provided services to citizens and investors, in cooperation with the various ministries and government agencies.

The chairman of Prime Business Consulting reviewed the most prominent projects the company was collaborating on with a number of ministries and government entities, with a view to facilitating citizens’ and investors’ access to services.

Helmy also highlighted the impact achieved by these ventures in enhancing development, raising the efficiency of government performance and achieving citizen satisfaction.

In this context, the company’s chairman referred to the “Your Invoice is Your Protection and Prize” project, a partnership with the Ministry of Finance. The project aims to involve the citizen in the Value-Added Tax (VAT) system, making them a pillar of the tax system.

Helmy also touched upon the vision of Prime Business Consulting regarding the rebuilding of the business environment, through enhancement of digital transformation tools.
