CAIRO – Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted facilitating any measures needed to promote the volume of exports to foreign markets especially pharmaceutical exports.
This came on Thursday during Madbouli’s meeting with Chairman of the the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) Ali el Ghamrawy, Board Member of Karman Pharma Egypt Mohamed Maarawy and Board Member of Razi Group Mohamed Samer Karman to discuss means to promote Egyptian drug exports via presenting support to factories and investment activities.
Madbouli pointed out to a visit paid several days ago to Karman factory in the industrial zone in Beni Suef.
Ghamrawy asserted that a meeting was held with the officials of the factory, adding that they have an initiative to encourage and increase Egyptian drug exports.
Meanwhile, Maarawy asserted that there is a real desire to increase the volume of Egyptian drug products in the regional markets, adding that this meeting asserts the support presented to investors and investment in Egypt.
Cabinet Spokesman Mohamed el Homsani said that the meeting discussed the initiative of Karman factory to promote the Egyptian pharmaceutical exports to the Gulf markets.
The meeting tackled means to provide support and incentives to the factory to undermine any challenges facing it to contribute to increasing the exports of local product and guarantee its competitiveness in the foreign markets to provide hard currency especially that the pharmaceutical industry in Egypt is promising.
This comes within the framework of the vision of the state to localise the industry of pharmaceuticals in cooperation with the private sector to cover the needs of the local market and increase the exports to regional and international markets.
