French President Emmanuel Macron voiced gratitude to negotiators from Egypt, the US, Qatar and Türkiye in remarks made upon his arrival in the Red Sea Resort City of Sharm El-Sheikh to participate in the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit for Peace.
According to French newspaper Le Parisien on Monday, President Macron stressed the urgent need to resume humanitarian operations in Gaza as soon as possible, noting that France would be one of the key players and that Paris would co-organize a conference with Egypt to support and rebuild the Gaza Strip.
France will play an important role in supporting the Palestinian authority in its efforts to achieve peace in Gaza, especially regarding humanitarian issues, most notably wounded children and those who lost their families during the war, said the French president, affirming that France would contribute to addressing security issues.
