Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli underlined the government’s keenness on increasing the amount of all staple commodities and meat which are available at cooperatives nationwide at suitable prices on the advent of Eidul Adha.

Madbouli made the remarks on Tuesday during a meeting with Supply Minister Ali Moselhi to follow up on securing all commodities as well as strategic reserves of commodities.

Moselhi noted that about 3.630 million tons of local wheat were supplied to the ministry until Tuesday morning.

He added that 750,000 tons of sugar have been imported until now, noting that about four companies will secure about 250,000 tons.
