Egyptian National Railway Authority said on Wednesday that a wheel of the Aswan-Alexandria train came off at Benha station.
In a press release, the authority said that no casualties or damage were reported.
The Benha train station is witnessing renovation works ahead of developing communication and signal systems.
The malfunction was repaired and the train was back to movement, the authority said, adding that a committee was formed to investigate into the incident.
