CAIRO – The Egyptian Interior Ministry announced that it has taken legal measures against 5,285 people for not wearing face masks.
The move was made during security campaigns launched during the past 24 hours, the ministry said.
As many as 422 violations of shop closure decisions were also detected, it added.
The campaigns come within the framework of the Cabinet’s decision as regards taking all needed preventive measures to curb the spread of coronavirus, it noted.
