Egypt’s Minister of Finance, Ahmed Kouchouk, has highlighted improving economic indicators and strong growth in the industrial and production sectors over the past fiscal year.
Speaking at a roundtable with Turkish investors on the sidelines of the Istanbul Economic Forum on Friday, Kouchouk called on businesspeople to capitalise on Egypt’s strategic location, modern infrastructure and attractive tax and customs incentives.
He urged Turkish companies to expand their investments in Egypt.
“We are implementing comprehensive financial and structural reforms to empower the private sector and boost its role in driving sustainable economic development,” Kouchouk said.
He stressed the government’s commitment to modernising the tax system and creating a business environment based on trust, partnership and practical support for investors.
The ministry is also working to address investors’ concerns and remove operational obstacles facing businesses, he added.
