CAIRO – Egypt’s Manpower Minister Mohamed Saafan said that Jordan’s Social Security Corporation (SSC) has transferred a total of about EGP 1.490 million of social security funds which were due to be paid to 46 Egyptian workers who had worked for it and left Amman on final exist.
Thanks to efforts exerted by the ministry’s affiliate labor representation office at the Egyptian embassy in Amman, that followed up the file and held several meetings with the SSC officials, the move was achieved, with a view to to obtaining the remaining amounts of money due to be disbursed to the Egyptian workers who left Jordan, the minister said.
Spokesman for the Manpower Ministry Haitham Saad el-Din said the minister received a report from Talaat el-Sayed, the Labor Attaché to Jordan, calling on all Egyptian workers entitled to receive social security funds from the SSC to check the ministry’s website and the embassy’s Facebook page to review their names.
The Egyptian labor attaché said he will continue coordination to finalize preparations needed to send the remaining money to the Egyptian workers.
