Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum, Tarekel-Molla, attended on Sunday the signing of a joint protocol between the Ministry of Health and Population, on one hand, and Eni Foundation, on the other.
The protocol opens the door for co-operation between the ministry and the foundation in implementing the community health project in Port Said.
It also aims to raise the efficiency of medical teams operating in the governorate within Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Minister el-Molla said the protocol is an example of commitment onthe part of the petroleum sector to priority projects.
The sector, he added, honours this commitment through coordination petroleum companies, including global partners.
“We work to contribute to meeting the priorities of sustainable development,” Minister el-Mulla said.
He said the protocol signed yesterday would allow Eni, the Italian strategic partner in the oil and gas sector and the largest producer in this sector in Egypt, to support healthcare services at the company’s work sites, especially in Port Said.
He added that the Italian company is keen on strengthening joint work and its commitments in Egypt.
Minister el-Molla described Egypt as Eni’s most important country in the region.
“Egypt is at the forefront of the company’s priorities outside Italy,” the minister said.
He expressed appreciation of the Italian company and its tireless efforts to contribute to meeting the priorities of development and services in the local communities.
