CAIRO – Italian Ambassador in Cairo Michele Quaroni voiced his country’s readiness to support Robeiki leather city in particular and the leather industry in general, praising the remarkable progress achieved in the city as an “important leap” in the leather production and industry in Egypt.
This came during a visit by the Italian government delegation to Robeiki where they were briefed on the potentials of benefiting from the Italian expertise in this field.
Chairman and board member of Cairo for Investment and Development (CID) Mahmoud Mehrez reviewed the phases of establishing the project, commending the fruitful cooperation between the Italian and the Egyptian governments to render the project a success.
The Italian delegation toured a number of tanning workshops in the city and the technological centre.
