Egyptian Irrigation Minister Hany Sweilam has stressed the importance of having a database with an integrated time system for periodical purification of waterways.
This system should be used as a tool to determine the time of purging canals throughout the year, Sweilam said during a meeting with senior Ministry officials Tuesday.
The minister directed the officials to outline a unified database of contractors working in purification projects. The database should include an assessment of performance and quality of implemented tasks, Sweilam stressed.
