CAIRO – Egypt’s Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Mohamed Abdel Aati has discussed with the Permanent Committee for Regulating the River Nile Revenue the procedures to achieve optimal management of water resources during the period of maximum needs.
During the meeting, the committee also reviewed River Nile’s revenues, as well as the mechanisms of water management and distribution.
The meeting looked at the measures taken by the ministry to achieve the optimal management of water resources.
Abdel Aati said that the Water Resources and Irrigation Ministry is exerting continuous efforts as part of its comprehensive vision to provide necessary water needs for all water-using sectors.
This strategy will reflect positively on achieving sustainable development goals, and providing services to the beneficiaries with the highest degree of justice and efficiency, he added.
