Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call today from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
According to the official spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency, the two leaders exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. President Pezeshkian extended his best wishes for Egypt’s continued stability, progress, and prosperity, which President El-Sisi warmly appreciated, expressing hope that the occasion would bring blessings to both nations and the wider Muslim world.
Presidential spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed El-Shinawy stated that the Iranian president thanked Egypt for its intensive efforts to mediate a ceasefire in Gaza.
For his part, President El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to de-escalating regional tensions and preventing the expansion of conflict, emphasizing the importance of ensuring security and stability for all nations in the region.
