Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid, Minister of Labour Hassan Raddad, and Governor of Qalyubia Hossam Abdel Fattah inspected on Sunday factories in the Benha Investment Zone to review production and export plans and identify challenges facing investors.

The tour included Pharma Zad Group for Nutritional Supplements, Cairo Chem Company (Lily’s Chocolate), and Mozzarella Fresh Food Industries.

The companies have combined investments of LE650 million, provide 893 jobs and generate exports worth about $5.5 million.

The officials inspected production lines and reviewed each company’s investments, output, workforce and exports as part of state efforts to support productive projects, increase production and exports, and create jobs.

Pharma Zad, which began operations in 2024 with investments of about LE500 million, produces around 70 million boxes of nutritional supplements annually, with capacity reaching 80 million.

It provides 500 jobs and exports 30% of its output, or 24 million boxes, worth about $2 million.

Cairo Chem, operating since 2022 with LE50 million in investments, produces around 600 tonnes of chocolate annually, employs 43 workers and exports 25% of production, equivalent to 150 tonnes, worth about $1 million.

Mozzarella Fresh, established in 2022 with LE100 million in investments, produces around 6,500 tonnes annually, provides 350 jobs and exports approximately 820 tonnes, representing 12.5% of output, worth about $2.5 million.

During the inspection tour, Minister Farid stressed that monitoring existing projects and listening to investors are essential to improving the investment climate, identifying challenges and facilitating procedures to support expansion, production and exports.

Minister Raddad, for his part, underscored the importance of supporting productive projects and providing skilled labour to enhance growth, increase production and create jobs.
