Egyptian International Co-operation Minister Rania el Mashat has stressed the importance of cooperation with South Korea to enhance and settle the different industries in Egypt.
Speaking during a get-together with the deputy director of the Export-Import Bank of Korea as part of activities of the annual meetings of the African Development Bank (AfDB) in Sharm el Sheikh earlier Wednesday, Mashat discussed means of boosting future cooperation between the two sides in light of their strategic relationship and keenness of their leaders to push development efforts forward.
Mashat said Cairo is seeking to promote multilateral cooperation, which, she believes, is important to support development efforts and meet national priorities as defined by the Egypt 2030 vision and the international sustainable goals.
She spoke highly of economic ties with South Korea, especially after the Asian country chose Egypt to be its strategic partner in development cooperation during the period between 2021 and 2025.
Mashat reiterated her Ministry’s keenness to create an investment-friendly environment and to ease measures for South Korean companies wishing to do business in Egypt.
