Informa Markets, a leading global organiser of international events and exhibitions, has announced the launch of the 38th edition of the Sahara International Agricultural Exhibition, taking place from September 22-24, 2026 at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre.
The exhibition is held under the patronage of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sewilam, Minister of Industry Khaled Hashem, Chief Executive Officer of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed Awad, and Chief Executive Officer of the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA) Sherif Abdel Rahim.
With more than 38 years of heritage, Sahara has established itself as one of Africa and the Middle East’s leading specialised agricultural platforms, bringing together decision-makers, investors, experts, companies and stakeholders to exchange knowledge, showcase innovation and foster partnerships that advance food security, sustainability and modern agriculture.
The 2026 edition is expected to welcome more than 23,000 specialised visitors, over 550 local and international brands, participants from 30 countries, and 270 buyers through its Hosted Buyers programme.Participating companies and institutions include Elsewedy, Kafr El Zayat, the Agricultural Bank of Egypt, Techno Seed and Al-Iman Group.Sahara’s comprehensive programme will address resource scarcity, climate change, productivity and sustainable farming through conferences, workshops and expert-led panel discussions.The Sahara Technical Conference will explore emerging technologies and sector challenges, while the inaugural Biocontrol & Biostimulants North Africa conference will focus on biocontrol, biostimulants, bio-fertilisers, sustainable agriculture and regulatory developments.Supporting farmers, entrepreneurs and industry professionals, Sahara Agricultural Consultancy will provide technical guidance, while AgriGen Lab will connect agricultural start-ups, entrepreneurs and researchers with officials, investors and industry leaders, alongside educational sessions supporting business development and market expansion.The Women in Agri Networking Event will further promote women’s empowerment and professional networking.The International VIP Programme and Matchmaking programme will facilitate high-level networking and scheduled business meetings between exhibitors, buyers and investors.General Manager of the Sahara Exhibition Hanaa Youssef said: “Sahara remains a strategic platform integrating knowledge, innovation and business opportunities, supporting investment and partnerships that drive the transformation of agriculture.”The 38th edition reinforces Informa Markets’ commitment to Egypt’s agricultural sector and its role as a regional hub for agricultural innovation, supporting Egypt’s Vision 2030, food security and sustainable development.
