Housing Minister Randa El-Menshawy reviewed the implementation of water and sanitation projects under the presidential “Hayah Karima” (Decent Life) initiative nationwide.
The minister directed intensified monitoring and the swift completion of projects with high execution rates to bring them into service quickly, improving water and sanitation services for citizens.
Reports from the National Authority for Potable Water and Sewage (NOPWASD) detailed field inspections in Damietta, Gharbia, Sohag, Assiut and Minya, covering expansions and new treatment and pumping stations.
The inspections confirmed compliance with technical standards, adherence to implementation schedules and efforts to overcome obstacles. Projects include expansions of wastewater treatment plants in Damietta and Gharbia, new pumping stations in Sohag, large-scale treatment facilities in Assiut serving several villages, and advanced triple-treatment plants in Minya.
The ministry stressed that the projects form part of the national drive to upgrade infrastructure, improve service quality and support sustainable development under the “Decent Life” initiative.
