President of Ain Shams University professor Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, appointed Hoda Gamal Mohamed, a professor at the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood, as Acting Dean of the Faculty, effective September 15, 2026.
The decision comes as part of Ain Shams University’s efforts to boost academic leadership and further support its educational, research and specialised services in the field of childhood studies.
Gamal has distinctive various international scientific researches in the specialisation of Clinical Psychology at the department of Psychological Studies for Children at Ain Shams University’s faculty of graduate studies for childhood.
She also gained her PhD in Arts, specialising in Psychology, from Ain Shams University in 2015, graduating with First-Class Honors.
The professor obtained her Master’s degree in Psychology in 2012 with an “Excellent” grade.
During her tenure, Gamal has made significant strides in child psychological rehabilitation, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and psychological support programs, including initiatives aimed at preparing psychological support ambassadors.
She has also participated in advanced training programs in university administration and leadership, as well as education quality assurance and academic accreditation.
