Egypt’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour has stressed the importance of the Egyptian cultural offices abroad in showcasing the Egyptian civilisation to the world and serving as a bridge to communicate with expatriates.

This came during the inauguration of an exhibition by the Egyptian artist Amr Fahmy titled “Stars in the Sky” held at the Egyptian Cultural Office in London within the framework of the world forum for education which is organized by the British Cultural Centre in the United Kingdom.

During his visit to the exhibition, Ashour praised Amr Fahmy’s artwork due to its ability to convey deep emotions and societal commentary. He highlighted the importance of fostering cultural exchange and addressing challenges in a satirical manner.

The exhibition serves as a valuable platform to promote Egyptian and Arab culture globally, enhancing Egypt’s international stands and cultural ties with the UK and beyond.

For his part, Egyptian Ambassador in London Sherif Kamel emphasised the importance of the exhibition in showcasing Egypt’s most prominent art works, highlighting its role in depicting the Egyptian society in a satirical and humorous manners.

He expressed appreciation for Dr Rasha Kamal, the Egyptian Cultural Attaché and Director of the Educational Mission in the UK and Ireland, for her contributions to the success of the Egyptian cultural season in the UK.

Kamel also praised the positive impact of these efforts on strengthening Egyptian-British relations.
