CAIRO – The acting ambassador of Palestine to the Arab League Muhannad al-Aklouk announced the international conference on Jerusalem, slated for Sunday, will see a high-level representation by Arab League member countries, topped by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
Aklouk told MENA that the conference will eye the participation of high-level representatives including kings and heads and leaders of AL member countries.
It will be attended by high-level envoys from international, regional and Arab organizations including UN and OIC, he said.
Aklouk added some Arab countries will be represented at the level of vice president, prime minister and foreign minister.
He said Abbas will deliver a speech at the inauguration of the conference, which will be co-chaired by the Palestinian foreign minister and Abul Gheit.
The event is aiming to internationalize the issue of Jerusalem and support the steadfastness of its Palestinian residents.
