Egypt’s Finance Minister Mohamed Maait has stressed that global economic crises, including Covid-19 and the Ukraine-Russia conflict, have caused huge challenges for the budgets of different countries.
The minister made remarks on Friday during his participation at the fifth Global Forum on Human Resources for Health, organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva.
He lauded the wise decisions taken by the political leadership that helped overcome such challenges.
The presidential “Decent Life” initiative, which aims to develop the country, has contributed to upgrading health facilities, the minister said, adding that the health sector’s allocations reached EGP111.2 billion in the new budget, an increase of 14%.
