The Ministry of Health and Population reiterates its commitment to safeguarding public health by ensuring that tetanus vaccinations are available free of charge at all health units across the country, in accordance with the latest medical guidelines.

Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel-Ghaffar emphasised that this initiative is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to provide safe, effective, and accessible preventive healthcare services in all governorates.

The updated tetanus vaccination protocol is designed to reduce the risk of infection following wounds and injuries, while guaranteeing timely access to essential immunisations.

Particular attention is given to pregnant women, for whom tetanus vaccination is a crucial aspect of antenatal care. Vaccinations are administered according to a structured schedule to ensure maximum protection for both mother and child.

All tetanus vaccinations are provided free of charge by qualified medical teams, in full compliance with recognised quality and safety standards, ensuring that citizens receive reliable and secure healthcare. In this respect, the ministry encourages all citizens — especially expectant mothers — to visit the nearest health unit promptly in the event of injuries or to adhere to their antenatal vaccination schedule.

Following these recommendations is vital for the protection of individual and public health.

Abdel-Ghaffar concluded by reaffirming the ministry’s commitment to continuously update medical protocols and strengthen preventive healthcare systems, with the aim of providing the highest standard of health services to every citizen.
