Egypt’s Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar referred Saturday the director of Al Shorouk Hospital in Al Shorouk City for investigation after he was found absent following a surprise visit.
The minister’s visit is one in a series of surprise field tours to inspect medical facilities nationwide.
Such tours aim at ensuring the quality of medical services offered to patients.
Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said all doctors and medical teams who were found absent were referred for investigation.
