Health Minister Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met representatives of Huawei to discuss strengthening cooperation in digital transformation of Egypt’s healthcare sector. The talks focused on deploying advanced technological solutions to improve service quality and efficiency.
Huawei presented its vision for a unified digital healthcare system based on the One Cloud model, enabling integration of data, streamlined management and enhanced decision‑making. The meeting also reviewed ongoing projects including hospital IT infrastructure, medical imaging archiving (PACS), digital pathology, and pre‑hospital emergency systems, alongside opportunities to apply AI and big data solutions.
Both sides stressed the importance of harnessing modern technology to support Egypt’s comprehensive health insurance system and align with Vision 2030 goals. They also discussed drawing on Huawei’s international experience in digital government and healthcare innovation to build a sustainable, integrated digital health ecosystem.
Huawei invited the minister to attend Huawei Connect 2026 in Shanghai from 17–19 September, where the company will showcase its latest strategies and solutions in digital transformation and innovation.
